There are many ways that you can help provide resources for the houseless in Humboldt.
We are in need of volunteers! We need people to assist with operations when the trailer is on-site and providing services. We also need folks to assist with operations by signing in guests, cleaning the showers between uses, stocking and distributing hygiene kits, clothing and food. We are also looking for qualified volunteers to provide haircuts.
If you are interested in being a Shower Care-A-Van volunteer, please complete and return our volunteer form and waiver. Please mail them to AHHA at PO Box 3794, Eureka 95502, scan and email to ahha.humco@gmail.com, bring to a meeting or drop them off during our office hours at 840 E Street, #18 upstairs, at the Labor Temple in Eureka. If you need more information or assistance, please call us at the number noted below. This is a great volunteer activity for adults and we look forward to hearing from you!

We did not apply for Seeds of Change in 2024, but will apply to be one of the non-profits receiving community support through the Round Up in 2025. We got the greatest number of votes for 2023 Round Up and were awarded the month of November. We want to thank the Co-Op and all of our supporters for their generosity, especially the artists who provided the incentives for giving: Pat Kanzler and Blu Carlile Roy.
